Candle Care

Yes, I know you love The Lit Baldie candles but it is very important to remain safe at all times.

 

Please always burn your candle within sight. Keep away from flammable objects. Keep away from pets.

Trim wick prior to lighting (see Wood Wick Support page for trimming instructions).

Keep candles away from any foreign materials including matches and wick trimmings. Only burn the candle on a level, fire resistant surface. 

The recommended burn time is 4 hrs. Burning your candle for four hours allows a full melt pool to form and the scent to fill the room. After 4 hours, snuff out your candle and allow it to cool for at least two hours BEFORE trimming the wick and relighting.

Don't touch that hot candle!

As your candle burns, the glass will heat up. Its safest to not touch or more a burning candle. Additionally, the melted wax can spill if you accidentally tip your candle when trying to move it. Avoid this potential mess by waiting for your candle to cool before moving it. 

 

 

For Safety, stop burning your candle when just a 1/2 an inch of wax remains. As  the flame reaches the bottom of the jar the increased heat against the class can damage the container or the surface its on. Always make sure you are burning candles on a heat resistant surface.
